You know, I keep promising myself and occasionally others that I will blog on a regular basis. And I really have every intention of doing so. But then, things happen. Family things. School things. Work related things. Good things. Bad things. Just things. TOO MANY THINGS!

What was going on lately? Well, a lot. Let me see...

At the end of January, we got a cat from Vancouver SPCA. Raddatatt is 8 months old, mostly Russian Blue as far as I can tell and is the most social cat I have ever seen. He is GORGEOUS!!!!! We all love him a lot, except occasionally my husband. See, Raddatatt has a person to cuddle (that would be me), a person to play with (Milan and Charlie), and then a person to nibble on his toes 4 o'clock in the morning when he is bored and wants some company (now, that would be my husband). I think it is funny. Tony doesn't. Anyway, look, isn't he gorgeous?

And then, at the end of February, we had Stampin' Up Regionals here in Vancouver. That was a great fun. I got to meet some people I only knew from online forums up to that point. As most of you know, Regionals mean swaps. Lots of swaps. Here is one of mine that I did for Regionals. For some reason, my camera didn't really capture how vibrant and beautiful those colours are. I might have to redo the photo. Lookie:

Then, last weekend, I was participating in Portobello West Fashion and Art market. It was fantastic! Well organized, well visited. Everything ran really smoothly. Did I take a picture of my display though? No, of course I didn't. My bad. That is ok though, I will do it again, maybe in May. I will let you know.

I am hoping that I will put together new classes schedule and post it over the next few days. Also, one of my technique clubs is starting again beginning of May and I do have 1 spot left in it. Let me know if you would like to take it.

Stampin' Up has filled up their clearance rack with new items, there are lots of nice goodies there. Including grab bags - first time ever. Just click on the picture and go to my site, then click Shop Now. I know I couldn't resist getting few things.

OK, that is it for now. I should be back in a couple of days. Unless I decide to hibernate again.

Blog Y'a all later,

Dragana Skoro
I hope you all had a great Christmas. We sure did. We spoiled our kids rotten, and let me tell you, they deserve every bit of it. My house has turned into a LEGO central, we've spent days putting together all the stuff they've been given. My older son was also given a real newtonian telescope and we're hoping to try it out tomorrow. We are all very excited about that. I can tell you that all our camping trips next year will be planned around the light pollution. :-)

I am also trying to put together a classes and clubs schedule for the next 6 months. I am opening a new club in February, so let me know if you would like to join us, or you know someone else who would like to do so.

Here are some new classes for you.

Blog y'all later,

Dragana Skoro
It's been so long since I've blogged... I've missed you all. Between all the classes, my clubs, working for the West Side Family Place Auction, I haven't had a lot of time for anything. The Auction was a great success. We've raised over $34,000. This was the best one yet! These funds are much needed and will bring a peace of mind to the staff and Board of Directors of this non-profit organization.

I've also started making some jewelry. I will be doing few craft shows, and I thought this would be a nice addition to my cards, calendars and bookmarks. Lookie:

I didn't forget about my card-making though. Here is one of the cards we will be making next Saturday and Sunday for my Stamp-A-Stack.

I will edit this post later on to add all the supplies. More Stamp-A-Stack cards coming tomorrow. Come back and check them out. If you're free next Saturday or Sunday between 12 and 5, come over, I have few spots still available (mostly Saturday though).

Blog y'a later,

Yup, it's me. I'm back again. Figuratively and for real.

First, a figurative part. Since my last post (ahem, we won't say how long it's been) I've been getting ready to participate as one of the vendors at Greek Day here in Vancouver. It happened on June 27th, and it was a huge success for me!!! I want to thank all of you who have come to see me, and especially those of you who have purchased my cards. I've had my toga and a laurel wreath on. No wonder I didn't advertise it a whole lot, eh? Just kidding, it was a blast.

And then, two days later, we went camping. We went up to Green Lake, close to 70 Mile House. I love that drive through Fraser Canyon. I was planning on posting couple of times on my iPhone, but guess what?!?! I forgot the charger, so I was there, in the middle of mosquito and black flies land, with no internet access. It certainly was a very peaceful and relaxed week. I've managed to read two books, one by Kelley Armstrong and one by Lisa Lutz. The latter one made me laugh out loud many times. We got back last night, and here I am, guilty of not posting for very long time, but happy and tanned. :-)

Enough of me digressing. You're here to see my cards, so here - I give you cards. Lookie:

I am having a great week. Weather here in Vancouver is just gorgeous and I am really enjoying just being out there with my boys and not having to rush home and hide from rain.

Lately I've been reading the books by Steig Larsson and I've really enjoyed them. Just finished his second book, as a matter of fact. These are kind of books you can not put down once you've started. I can not wait for the third one to be published here. It is available in Europe, but we won't have it until sometime in May. If interested, you can pre-order it from Chapters. Today, SU announced big changes in our colour palette. Quite a few colours retiring, some old In-Colors being brought back, and some brand new colours. We will have 4 colour collections, each with 10 colours. In July, we get 5 new In-colors, and they will be active for 2 years. Next year, we get 5 new In-colors, and they will be around for two years as well. So, from 2011, we will have 10 In-colors and 40 core colours. Lookie:

At first, I was unsure if I liked this change, now I am tickled pink. I can hardly wait to get my hot little hands on these beautiful new colours.

Onto the other things. May class is Eastern Blooms. It will be on Sunday, May 16th, 2-5 PM, or Tuesday, May 18th, 6-9 PM. As usual, it is at my place - e-mail me for the details. The price is $25.

I just want to remind you of a class coming up on Saturday, April
24th, 2-5 PM at my place. The alternate time is Tuesday, April 27th,
6-9 PM at my place.

Here is the project of the class again...

Don't forget that these classes are available as kits to go, or for free with $50 order (does not apply to club orders).

OK, gotta go now. Blog y'a later!

Don't forget that all my classes are available as a "kit to go" option.

Check my SU business website for all my events.

Off to sleep...

Gastown Motorcycle Show & Shine was a highlight of the last weekend. Well, at least for my husband. Three of us went along and looked at all the bikes with him. My older son, 6 year old, learned how to spot a shovelhead among the other Harleys. What an accomplishment, eh? :-) My younger son was more interested in the motorcycles, and really wanted to sit on this one that was all done up with skulls and bones and chains. Here is a photo, it doesn't show the bike completely, but I think you can leave things to your imagination when you see Charlie posing with the owner of the bike.

I have made quite a few cards lately, for some reason I was too lazy to take pictures, touch them up in Photoshop, upload... I am having a lazy summer. But, honestly, I am still making things. Here is a card I made for a local realtor for a thank you card for his clients. I quite like it.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Craft (SU!), Basic Black (SU!)
Ink: selection of SU! inks for colouring, Basic Black (SU!) for stamping
Stamps: Trendy Trees (SU!), Neighbourhood wheel (SU!)
Other: dpaper snips (SU!), blender pens (SU!)

The following card was made just because a paper I had reminded me of a coffee on a morning I was staying away from my morning dose due to some blood test I had to do later in a day. Was I ever ready for a shot intravenously later on. :-)

Supplies Used:
Paper: Whisper White (SU!), Really Rust (SU!), Crush Collection Coral by Crate Paper, Natural White (SU!)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU!), Close to Cocoa (SU!), Real Red (SU!)
Stamps: Pun Fun (SU!)
Other: ddimensionals (SU!), paper snips (SU!), blender pens (SU!), Chocolate Chip marker (SU!), sponges (SU!)

I am teaching Watercolouring class on Saturday, celebrating Charlie's birthday on Sunday (I can't believe my baby turned 4 yesterday), so I might not blog before next week. But then, you never know.

So, here I am again. I promised a card about a week ago. Strange things happen in my house - a day turns into a week, a week turns into a month, and a month becomes a year before you know it. It was such a great weather, I hardly stayed in the house at all. And, trust me, a card is nearly impossible to make on a playground or a beach. But, I was taking lots of pictures for scrappin'. So, yesterday I finally took a photo of the card I promised a week ago. Look:

Supplies Used:
Paper: Whisper White (SU!), Basic Black (SU!), Soft Suede (SU!), Natural White (SU!)
Ink: Old Olive (SU!), Versamark
Stamps: Medallion (SU!) note: my stamps are no longer captives to Agriculture Canada, hooray!!!!
Other: Old Olive marker (SU!), sponges and daubers (SU!), dimensionals (SU!), paper snips (SU!), paper piercer (SU!), green crystal brad (can't remember the company), stencil "Kind Thoughts Brocade" - small.

Now, this next one is a total copy of Brandi Wiggins' work. A while ago, I saw this scrap page she made and I thought it was great. The image really stuck to my head, and here we are, this is my take on that (thanks for the inspiration Brandi):

Supplies Used:
Paper: Craft (SU!)
Ink: Old Olive (SU!), More Mustard (SU!), Not Quite Navy (SU!), White - Craft (SU!), Chocolate Chip
Stamps: Doodle This (SU! - retired), Simple Friendship (SU!), Itty Bitty Backgrounds (SU!)
Other: Chocolate Chip marker (SU!), blender pen (SU!), crystal brads (SU!), dimensionals (SU!), paper snips (SU!).

OK, another post and run, I have to go get ready for my Open House next week. Lots to do...

Blog y'a later.
